I just found out about this thing this past year - their marketing department failed me
grr suchs things are always so annoying
it's like discover a great parfume or icecream 2 month before
they sell out and put it off the market

That happened to me with Coke Blak,

If anyone remembers, it was Coca Cola mixed with Coffee.

I discovered it just as it was taken off the market.

That was awesome soda pop, my 2 favorite drinks mixed into one.

I wrote back to express my dismay to the nice rep who responded to me, and this is what he wrote:

"They were sold under the ESU reptile line from Energy Savers Unlimited a number of years ago and when we purchased ESU we continued the line and then rebranded it under the Zilla brand name. They sold well the first couple years they were out but then popularity dropped off and sales went way south. They looked at the past couple years of sales when they decided to drop the product. The 10 gal size will be gone as well once the last of those sell out. I am not sure if they are looking to rework the product then relaunch it or not.

I am encouraged by the fact that they have nice reps like that who take the time to write back twice

I actually have one of those toppers for a 20-gallon long that I got in June 2009. I don't really need it anymore, at least not right now, so if anyone is really looking for one, shoot me a pm and we can try to work something out. I have no idea how to ship it, as I can't remember how to disassemble it..lol.

I've looked at those; plus that company used to carry the Zilla ones also
these have too large a grid to be useful for what I had in mind

I'm not sure...I will try to post a picture of what it is. I'm pretty sure it's 1/4" grid as I think that's all they made. Here is the stock photo- I don't have one I took myself of it.
